Astanga Hatha-yoga @ 6:00-7:30p (optional) set up for morning, review procedures

Saturday. Be on your cushion a little before 7:15

Tea/meditation @7:15-8:00a mini break @ approx 7:45, adjust posture, clear airways
Cushions go to neat pile in office Bring food bowl, tea cup & name card to kitchen.
Light breakfast @ 8:00-9:00a
Hatha-yoga @ 9:00-10:15a……………reset cushions
Light snack @ 10:15-10:30a
Lecture/Satsang @ 10:30-12:30p w/ break Meditation for final minutes

Meals

Breakfast & light snack:

Warm organic bread w/ non-dairy spread.
Mixed fruit/almonds.
Tea/coffee/other per request.

Lunch:
Salad w/ sprouts and pumpkin seeds (non-dairy dressing).
Warm brown rice (soy sauce and horse radish.)
Grilled tofu Cubed cheese.
Ginger spice cookies.

*Let us know about your special dietary needs; we can substitute tea w/o caffeine.


What to bring:

Medium ceramic or hard plastic bowl; silver set wrapped in napkin or paper towel;
Wrap bowl in dish towel. Keep bowl on towel behind cushion;
bring to meals & clean per instructions.

General considerations

*Bring a spirit of mindfulness to your activities from the time you quietly enter the mud room and neatly arrange your shoes. Bow in to the studio before each of the four scheduled practices, facing the altar. (Don’t worry about bowing out as there will be too much commotion. You can bow when you leave the studio the last time for the day.) Bow at your cushion before sitting. At meals, serve your self, eat and clean bowl in silence. Quiet talk germane to yoga practice ok after you put your bowl away.

*Think about clothing arrangements that can be modified appropriately for Hatha-yoga vs. other activities.

Absolutely no scented laundry or bath products, natural or synthetic.
Check to see there are no hidden scents in shampoo or clothing

*To keep things smooth, refer questions about the studio or program to Jessica; refer questions about the kitchen to Sam. Go through assistants if you need to speak w/ Gina or Michael direct. Michael will be giving priority to out-of-town participants in the office.

*Parking: 1st car into stone turn-around; 2nd just behind blue BMW; fill 3rd space to minimize cars on the street; all others across the street for even day parking. It is imperative that you park legally and be inconspicuous as you come and go.
